At PraticaM we offer both but we recommend the Mall like setting for the following reasons.

Having an online store in a mall setting can provide several advantages, such as:

  1. Increased visibility: Malls are high-traffic areas, with many shoppers walking by your storefront. This provides an opportunity to attract new customers who may not have found your store otherwise. As a store owner you can advertise your store or advertise the mall. Imagine how much more visibility everyone would benefit from by advertising the mall and even more by advertising together. You can still send your visitors directly to your store.

  2. Diversified customer base: Malls attract a diverse range of shoppers from different demographics, which can help you reach a broader customer base.

  3. Cross-promotion opportunities: Malls often have promotional events and advertising initiatives that can help you reach a wider audience. You may also be able to collaborate with other stores in the mall to cross-promote each other's products.

  4. Established infrastructure: Malls typically have established infrastructure and amenities such as parking, security, and maintenance services, which can help reduce your overhead costs.

  5. Access to mall marketing channels: Malls often have marketing channels, such as social media, email lists, and website promotions, which can help you reach a wider audience.

  6. Increased credibility: Being located in a mall can give your business increased credibility, as it is seen as a reputable and established location.

Overall, having an online store in a mall setting can provide several advantages, including increased visibility, access to diverse customer base, cross-promotion opportunities, established infrastructure, access to mall marketing channels, and increased credibility.

While having your own online store can offer many benefits, there are also some disadvantages to consider:

  1. High start-up costs: Starting an online store requires a significant amount of investment in website development, e-commerce software, product inventory, shipping, and marketing. These costs can be prohibitive for some individuals or small businesses.

  2. Technical expertise: Running an online store requires technical knowledge in areas such as website development, e-commerce software, and online marketing. If you don't have the necessary skills, you may need to hire professionals to help you, which can add to your costs.

  3. Time-consuming: Managing an online store can be time-consuming. You will need to handle tasks such as managing product listings, customer orders, shipping, and handling customer support. This can be especially challenging if you are running the store by yourself.

  4. Increased competition: The e-commerce market is highly competitive, with many other online stores vying for customers' attention. This means you will need to put in extra effort to stand out from the competition and attract customers.

  5. Technical issues: Technical issues such as website downtime, slow loading times, or glitches in the e-commerce platform can result in lost sales and damage to your business reputation.

  6. Security concerns: Online stores can be vulnerable to cyber-attacks, which can result in the loss of sensitive customer information and damage to your business reputation.

Overall, having your own online store can be a rewarding experience, but it is important to consider these potential disadvantages before making the decision to start your own e-commerce business.
